Cemetery Signs
Kohlmann Cemetery Monument, Dane County, Wisconsin
Kohlmann Cemetery, Est. 1848. Also known as Methodist/Yankee/Kohlmann Buckel Cemetery, it was created as the first town cemetery in the Town of Springfield when Charles Kohlmann was murdered not far from this spot. Many of the town's first settlers are buried here. Their journey to this resting spot was not an easy one, but their spirit and fortitude live on in all those who follow.
