St John's Episcopal Church, Watauga County, North Carolina

Founded in 1862, St. John's Episcopal is a part of the Holy Cross Episcopal Parish of Valle Crucis, North Carolina. It was organized by missionary priest Fr. William West Skiles. The cemetery is one of the oldest in Watauga County, containing graves of some of the first families in this part of the country.
