Church of Ste, Genevieve, Ste. Genevieve County, Missouri
The Catholic faith first came to the Ste. Genevieve area when Father Marquette came down the Mississippi in 1673. The parish of Ste. Genevieve was officially started in 1759 by Jesuits who came from Quebec. The present church building was originally completed in Gothic Revival style in 1880 and expanded in 1911.
