Planing and Sawmills
Falling Spring Mill, Oregon County, Missouri
Built circa 1927, Falling Spring Mill was a multi-purpose mill, using power from Falling Spring located directly behind the mill. The mill was used to grind corn, saw shingles and firewood, and generate electricity. The aquamarine color of Missouri’s springs is caused by dissolved minerals in the water.
