Mill Ruins
The Cane Hill Mill Ruins, Washington County, Arkansas
Also known as Truesdale-Pyeatte Mill, Pyeatte-Moore Mill, and Moore-Buchanan Mill., Built in1840, the mill was one of the few steam and water powered mills in the country. The overshot waterwheel, which was still intact on the stone ruins of the mill, measures 36 feet in diameter. It was scheduled to be restored in 2017 by the Cane Hill Restoration Association.
